Dr. Beth Richardson
Physical Therapy
Hi there and welcome to B Well Integrated Physical Therapy. I’m Beth, the “B” in B Well ;-) I have been a practicing physical therapist for 20 years and was the co-owner and director of an outpatient clinic in Troy for over a decade. I adore that community as well as my colleagues.
Rochester is my husband’s hometown, where his family still resides and where he & I met, so we tend to gravitate toward this community as well. We worked together at the Rochester Chop House while I earned my Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from The University of Michigan – Flint.
Although I treat the majority of diagnoses, I specialize in osteopathic manual therapy techniques and muscle balancing. My main expertise is in pelvic positional dysfunctions, low back pain, sciatica, and shoulder injuries. I also have substantial knowledge & experience in post-operative care for any body part.
I have many post-graduate certifications as noted in the services section. Not noted there are LSVT and Parkinson’s Wellness Recovery (PWR!) certification as well as a Credentialed Clinical Instructor who works with and educates students during their internships.
How I Began
B Well Integrated Physical Therapy started from my passion for a holistic, patient-centered approach to wellness, creating a space where comprehensive care and compassion meet.

FAQ
Payment for services
What are my payment options?
We accept cash, credit/debit including HSA or FSA, Venmo, Zelle or Google Pay; weekly payments can be arranged for packages.
Payment for services is due upon booking or upon arrival for your apointment. When booking an appointment you will be required to create an account with us. There you are able to store a credit card securely in your profile to use at your convenience. You do not need to use that card to pay for services as we do accept other forms of payment as noted above.
Are you in network with insurance providers?
B Well Integrated Physical Therapy is not in network with any insurance providers, including Medicare or Medicaid. Choosing not to have a contract with them was the catalyst for this venture.
Why don't you accept insurance?
Over the past 5 years, insurance has become more restrictive in their contracts with healthcare companies by dictating what they will pay us to treat their members. They have substantially increased policy costs and deductibles to the consumer (member), and substantially decreased what they will pay healthcare professionals who have contracts with them.
Therefore, by not having a contract with them, we have full professional autonomy to not only provide the appropriate interventions each of our patients would benefit from but we are also not limited on the time we spend with each individual.
Can I submit this cost to my insurance provider for reimbursement?
If your injury and/or treatment meet insurance provider criteria for coverage, and your policy has out of network (OON) benefits, a detailed invoice (Superbill) will be created for you and sent to your provider for reimbursement to you.
The amount patients receive depends on their individual plan, out of network benefits, deductible and co-pay. I do not know exactly what my patients receive. I do know that most of my patients do not spend $1000 in my practice and many people have large co-pays and deductibles these days. So if your out of network deductible is higher than $1000, you will not be reimbursed until you have reached the amount of your deductible. That said, if you do have OON benefits we can still send the Superbill to your insurance carrier to be applied toward your OON deductible.
A typical patient with a $1000 or greater deductible may not receive a reimbursement, unless they have already had out of network therapy elsewhere. This will still allow the payments to count towards their deductible, which is important if they require additional therapy or interventions later in the year.
